Since we have a bunch of creative people here , I'm curious about the music you guys make yourself!
I know that we have at least a couple of musicians here (or people that make music if musician sounds too heavy) so don't be shy and share!

Let me start off with my stuff, been making hiphop and triphop beats for about 7 years under the alias Ba Da Woodchuck, (I have no idea anymore where the name came from)

the first thing I properly recorded was with a friend who sang some jazzy vocals:

via via this dude Chaze Blaze from the states heard my beats and recorded on some:

for 3 years we had a group called 3rd dimension and made dutch hiphop:

After the group finished an album we all needed a break and split up.
Bored as I was I recorded a track myself , but figured my accent was too much of an obstacle to invest more in it.

I have been making some unofficial remixes and loose tracks with other people after that but not much.

I'm amazed at your skills man!
I'ts awesome to meet someone so good at producing here.
I myself am an amateur and newbie producer, I've been doing it for a few years but in a pretty "unfocused" way.
I'm a bit shy about showing my tunes to the public, since I kind of made the "rule" not to show anything under the name Soundoktor until it's a professional and good piece of work. Since I (NOT JOKING HERE) forgot my SOUNDOKTOR folder when formatting my computer, the only thing I have are a few short loops and work in progress saved in Soundcloud and different genres I experimented with. So I'm just gonna go ahead and humbly put a few things on public just so you know what my level is.

soundcloud.com/soundoktor

PS: Your friend has an awesome voice.
PS2: I hope you guys have a subwoofer or a good headset, or my stuff will sound even shittier

@Swagtiman: Maaaan that stuff puts a smile on my face , don't think too negative about your music!
One small advice I have is adding sub bass lines around 80Hz , this will give your tracks more dept.
Keep on doing what you do , there's a lot of potential there man!
Oh and thanks for the compliment :) what program do you work with?

@HighcommanderJack: Thanks for the compliment! It's funny that the song that I'm most insecure about sounds good to you! :D

@Ashkel: Man , you guys make MUSIC! I am very impressed!!
I bet you guys get to do a lot of gigs and if not ... GET ON STAGE!
Really good stuff , rock on!

@Madvillain usually one or two per month, had one yesterday. ;) I hope that our website will be available any time soon so some of you guyz could drop for a beer n a gig to Gdynia, it's not such a long trip with a fair from south Scandinavia.

Oh and there are unofficial rummors that we will visit Denmark, but if someone would know I said that I would get decapitated.

@Ash
Noice, Overdose reminds me of a song which name I can't remember, but it gives me a very old schooly feel which I love.

@Madvillain
what program do you work with?
I use Ableton.
One small advice I have is adding sub bass lines around 80Hz , this will give your tracks more dept.
Thanks for the advice dude, I really appreciate help, and criticism is not just welcome but needed.

www.mixcloud.com/ba-baardaap/ba-da-woodchuck-3am-beattape/

just dug up an old mixtape with my own beats.
All it needs is a rapper or two here and there:P

Edit: I remember some people were shocked after hearing the last track ''my voice''
Don't worry , I'm not singing in there or anything.

There's a tune for you, not made by me but because you're such a rapper, here you go

You can guess right; not a commercial success

Its funny because the guy who is rappin' first

Was playing in the 2nd biggest TV channel in Finland (where it's basically a battle between channel 3 and 4) on a huge stage on a huge concert yesterday, on some band, still just a rapper but the music style was different and it was all about feeling good

Not about drugs and some other shady things like that tune there..

Although its from 2009...

People change?

Nice soft and airy tune. Note tho: in the intro there's a low "pop" lying over. Sounds almost like a metronome, except it's not completely in sync. It stops at 15s-ish. I thought it slightly disturbed the nice airyness of the intro section...'cause I couldn't tell if it was an intended thing or some clipping thing that fell between chairs. Maybe I'm evil to drop this so late in the production cycle :D . But that's what gaming-buddies are for ;) ?

ED: Its the slight "pop" that lies on the 2-beat if you listen at the very beginning...

ED2: And mate - the only reason I'm being this "honest", is because you're so good at what you do that I consider it "safe" to actually give input on a musician-musician kind of level ;)

Thanks for the feedback Zooba!
The pops you hear are the places where I've sliced the sample to make it fit in the tempo, they are milliseconds without sound.
There's not much I can do about it part from putting more echo on the intro so the samples overlap each other.
I've tried this but it made the intro too blurry.
The fact that you noticed this shows you have excellent ears man :D
I didn't notice how obvious it is once ya pay attention to it.

would upload something, but my guys are kinda breaking up right now.
I don't really have the confidence that we're gonna get back to this in two years, when the guy that actually writes this stuff has finished his state examination (is this the right term?). I'm really depressed about it - had a good start and plenty of material, though we didnt practice for over a year now, since we lost our drummer to the call of higher education.
so, I can only link to the very old myspace page we have/had. or something. An old song, definately not one of the best, but still...
myspace.com/portaltocognition/music/song...p3-81556481-89849020

Edit: god, I just now realised how long there has been nothing to see from us - this one has been recorded in 2011

So I was playing around in FL Studio, and I made this demo. Thoughts?
