Hello!

Pls reaver aces shere you knowlege whit us.
What is the best composition (weapons upgrades) for air-to-air, and air-to-ground reavers.

Can you teach us some flytrick (maybe whit videos)?

It will be very helpful.

I believe that our own flying ace Blakezx is busy writing a guide for the Reaver... so I'd definately stay tuned for that one!

Now, I'm no pilot. I feel more at home in my Vanguard. But still, I have some thoughts on the Reaver and its upgrades:

For airframe, I suggest the racer. Speed is critical and since the Reaver is already somewhat slow in comparison to the other ESFs, the extra speed never hurts.

For the primary gun, I always take the Rotary. However, since the recent buff to the standard Mustang cannon, that is not a bad option either. But I find the Rotary the most effective in both A2A and A2G. In close range it absolutely shreds everything in its path.
In my opinion, the Rotary is really all you need for A2A combat. The A2A missiles are helpful, but you'll get the job done faster with a well placed salvo from your Rotary. In fact, I'm thinking of trying out to fly with just the Rotary and the afterburner fuel tanks... might be a pretty effective A2A setup. Perhaps someone here has already given that a go?

That leaves the Breaker Rockets Pods. Always a good choice, especially with NV optics. This gives you a lot of flexibilty in engaging targets, both infantry and armour.

I've been flying for quite some time as well.. And I must say that the vehicle stealth upgrade is quite nice. Makes it a lot easier to ambush enemy mosquitos and whatnot.

The Rotary is still better than the standard Mustang for AA, but I think the Mustang is better for A2G, since it has less spread at long range (meaning you can stay further away from AA guns).

Play extremely defensively, for ex:
- never try to fly past enemy territory to try and get a kill.

Learning to fly backwards and strafe round stuff (similar technique) is also very useful, since the moment you hover stationary you get shot down...assuming there are enemy infantry around. This still happens to me now and then when I get careless and think no one is around. You'd think you'd learn...but nooo.

The air reverse in the video above is super-useful. Beginner pilots will often loose track of you when you do that even if they have perfect positioning behind you initially. Good flyers will still get you and win every time they get the best positioning, but it saves you more often than not at least.

If you fly and press rollbutton+pitchbutton you can perform various types of corqscrew maneuvers that can make you a little tougher to track for Flak, while still allowing to fly along a straight trajectory. You NEED keybound pitch and roll for this though. I've only experimented with this, would be cool to try it out with some outfitter to see how hard the different corqscrewes are to track.

The "shotgun" for Reaver was a bad buy?

I got it, but I have found it is super hard to use in the air, and if I go low enough to kill infantry with it, I am shot down by rockets very easily - such activity is VERY RISKY.

I am not going to get the Rotary as I don't have the certs (and plan on spending them somewhere else) nor the SC, and the next 3x SC day isn't going to be anytime soon...
