Now as someone put up a topic about Reaver's scout radar I have to mention this;

I unlocked the first scout radar for my flash, and have equipped it.

Yet I see no "radar"? Should the coverage area be visible,as I don't get any? :huh:

Or is the first rank so small that it's like 1 meter radius from the flash and the coverage area is so small that I shouldn't be even able to see it?

Or is it bugged? :dry:

There is no "blip" indicating area-coverage on vehicle radars, of the type that the infiltrator gun has. On reaver scout radar I see round dots of colors green-redish (I've no clue what the colorcoding actually means :O). They update at ~1s interval as far as I can see.

Have not tested flash radar so can't really answer your question. But that's how it looks on reaver.

Yeah, what I was expecting was a "area coverage" indicator like the Infiltrator Dart Gun has...

So there isn't one, apparently, no wonder I haven't seen it...

There is no pulsing radius blip like the infiltrator dart gun on any of the vehicle radars, you just get red dots.

The first rank is indeed really tiny and you should get minimum 50m and ideally 75m.

When maxed out you can cover an entire AMP Station and even light up people above in biolabs when parked directly underneath in the centre.

Do you know what the color-coding means on the radar Gribb? I don't know if it's even intended to be colorcoded, but on my radar i see both green, orange and red round dots. All enemies, but why the different coloring?

The minimap colors are bugged, even more so since GU2 than they were before. I think the same issue as with normal spotting presents itself when using the radar.

Have the devs commented on this issue anywhere yet? the minimap is frustratingly unreliable.

I had a little theory that the colours might relate to threat level of the enemy, high or extreme etc.

I'm still testing.

I also see "ghost" vehicles/spots on my minimap a lot.
Maybe its a feature :P

The "Ghosts" are definitely an annoying issue, but it doesn't seem to be related to the radar but "spotting". Some minimap entries simply never seem to vanish which is fucking annoying.

My two cents: the radar on the Flash is EXTREMELY good. Get it, you will not regret it. It only makes real sense once you cert it up to level 3 which gives you a 75 meter radius. I was stuck on level 2 (50 meters) for a while and it is a HUGE difference. Can't wait for level 4 (100 meters). Will definitely get it.

We should have at least one deployed and parked somewhere against the major structure of our objective to find hotspots. Radar will not give you a reliable location on hostiles in tight spaces or if they are on ground level or farther up. Movement is also only sketchy because you only get a blip every second. Other than that, it's insane.

Just FYI, the 'blip' on the infiltrator gun are just for graphic affect. They neither indicate rate or range of detection and as such do not increase if you level it up.
