Hey there, I'm also pretty new 2 Planetside 2, had a lot of fun playing so far.

I already have a friend in the outfit (lyvinder) who recommended you, but tonight by chance you all seemed to be on and I was in a squad with a few members, had a really good experience online, and liked the coordination and the chat.

Currently having issues with headset, so ordered a new one, I am online during some days and most evenings.

Like to travel in squads and have a role or purpose in game, am currently concentrating on medic spending all certs on upgrades.

Yeah, diversify your playstyle a bit.

Medic is a good class to start, though, it was the first class I started really upgrading.. Now I have everything (but Triage, which is useless/too high cost) for it at the second highest level..

The last thing I'll do for my medic is to get the healing tool to the highest level, after that I am satisfied.

Oh, and check this topic out, if you're interested in Medics; www.macs-gaming.com/forum/questions/60-m...r-dmr-what-about-you

okay thanks for the info, really useful stuff. Interestingly enough, I have been playing semi sniper on the default medic weap, spotting more than actually killing but I love to support. Not overly fussed about many kills as i'm just not that good. I will be spreading the certs eventually, but I find medic is working well for me to actually get certs. Once i'm at a reasonable point with the med, then I will def upgrade the others, probs next engineer. Funnily enough I cant seem to hit or kill anything with the sniper rifle, so really didn't get along with infiltrator.

I've been riding shotgun in the tanks with lyvinder as a gunner, so engineer would also be fairly logical :)

If you like to be "semi sniper" with the Medic then the Reaper DMR is your weapon :P

Hits like a ton of bricks and with High Velocity ammo you become half-sniper. Only downside is the rate of fire which becomes a problem under 25m.

If you like sniping, use the default heavy weapons gun. Just get a 4x scope and make sure you use one shot bursts = ownage.

And welcome to the macs!

Yeah the default heavy LMG is a longrange LMG for sure.. It is often trumped by other LMGs at close range.. But it is a very dangerous weapon if used well.

The Reaper DMR boosts your medic into half-Heavy Assault damage wise, and that was one of the selling points for me. If you have bad computer with low FPS do not bother with this, as you need to land your shots (rate of fire slow + small clip = not for spray'n'pray)...

The default medic gun is more versatile.

But I love high damage per bullet weapons - I don't need to land so many bullets to kill, which is good. I have the Rebel pistol, also, for example...

Only the NC have access to 200 damage weapons; Medic: Reaper DMR, Heavy Assault: NC6 Guass SAW, Engineer & Light Assault: AC-X11. All these guns have the best long range capability.

Hello Morbael and welcome to our forums.

You were lucky to have Lyvinder in the MACS so that we could give you a good gaming experience to begin with. I fell sorry for those lvl 1 players installing this game and gets instantly owned because noone is telling them what to do in this game. The lack of a tutorial doesn't really help either.

I am happy to see that you are willing to learn in this game and that you already listen to some of the advices our players have already given you. It is nice to have people helping out isn't it?

So what I hope to see from you now is for you to put more hours into this game and that you join our squads as often as you can when online. Add some more MACS members to your friends list so that you can ask for an invite or so that we can send you an invite once we see that you are logged on.

I'll notify the officers about your application and we will get back to you.

Take care now and I hope to see you in game soon.

indeed, once again thankyou.

I always take note of good advice as I need all the help I can get ;)

have ordered a new headset since the last one packed up, so that's gonna help, every1 has been great so far and some great tips have been given, I'm now using heavy assault with HV rounds as a pretty effective sniper, once I have enough certs I will defo be trying the reaper. And have started to diversify a little, trying to upgrade all.
